Description of technology

User Authentication

User Authentication - Yubico provides its customers with a range of hardware-based security tokens that can be clipped to a bunch of keys and when required - connected to a computer or mobile device, thereby adding an extra layer of security to provide the strongest protection against phishing attacks. Users can combine their token with a PIN or biometric data to meet the high-level requirements for identity verification when performing various types of sensitive transactions. Yubico tokens are available in a variety of variants, supporting many of the industry's popular protocols such as: FIDO2, U2F, OTP, OpenPGP, or public key infrastructure (PKI). In addition, the various tokens models are equipped with the most popular connectors and communication technologies on the market. These include USB-A, USB-C, Lightning connectors and NFC for authentication on mobile devices. For more demanding customers, Yubico has created security keys with NIST FIPS 140-2 certification and a biometric reader. Additional advantages of these devices are their crush resistance, lack of moving parts or power supply batteries, and total dustproofness and high waterproofness class guaranteed by the IP68 standard.
